Dog Obedience 101
Advice on obedience dog training is plentiful in books and magazines, dog training courses with tips on training, as well as television shows.
Of course we would all rather be around a well trained and obedient dog rather than one who has no rules. Despite numerous books, dvds and other instructional mateials, some canine’s remain untrained. When the dog begins to act exactly like a dog should, the owners decide they no longer like it.
For example, a puppy that is alone all day begins to seek attention by digging holes all over the backyard. The puppy should not be put on this position, but it is expected to sit quietly all the day, waiting for someone to come home and pay some attention to it. There are some breeds where digging is an instinctual thing to do. There are some dogs that dig very little and there are others that are very intense about it.
It is important to keep in mind, dogs have a canine brain. Dogs are social animals that organize themselves into packs that provide the companionship they need. Puppies are fun and full of enrgy but they do not understand right from wrong unless you train them. Dogs enjoy learning and truely want to please thier owners. Dogs need to have a purpose and feel that they are pleasing us with all they have learned.
Untrained dogs may develop negative behaviors that often result in the owners giving up their pet. What is fair for the dog? This is not a good thing for your the dog you love. When you take in a dog, you need to realize there is an obligation to be a good owner.
There is a dog out there wanting you to be the person who loves them and trains them. A dog that has had the benefit of obedience training, is so much easier to “find a good home” for if you find you can not provide that home. Every dog needs to learn to come when it is called and to be trained to walk on a leash.
If for some reason you are unable to train your dog yourself, contact your local animal shelter. Many shelters offer obedience training classes for a reasonable price. It’s better to teach an old dog new tricks yourself. You will really enjoy getting to know your dog and spending more time with him/her. You should always provide positive reinforcement, and never train by yelling at or hitting your dog. Making your dog fear you will not train them.
Before you purchase or adopt your first dog, do some research about breeds so you get the one you want. Studying the traits of their paticular breed will be an advantage in learning why dogs act the way that they do. They also show their feelings on their faces same as human beings. Dogs are very open in showing whether they are feeling good or upset.
To refund that cultism and trueness, give your dog the trump obeisance breeding available.
