It’s better to teach an old dog new tricks yourself. You will really enjoy getting to know your dog and spending more time with him/her. You should always provide positive reinforcement, and never train by yelling at or hitting your dog. Making your dog fear you will not train them.

Before you purchase or adopt your first dog, do some research about breeds so you get the one you want. Studying the traits of their paticular breed will be an advantage in learning why dogs act the way that they do. They also show their feelings on their faces same as human beings. Dogs are very open in showing whether they are feeling good or upset.
